We were amazed by the beauty of Martin's. It felt like stepping into a heavenly sanctuary with its unique church setting. The room we stayed in was absolutely stunning, and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The staff was incredibly helpful and made us feel special throughout our stay. we had a great experience and would highly recommend this luxurious hotel.

an easy walk to ronda, where you can have lunch. you can't go past great service. a good home base for exploring mechelen.

A previous review of this hotel said `that you should stay for the experience`- we did just that. Clever architecture has brilliantly transformed a church into a modern hotel providing an extraordinary experience.
A beautiful dinning room, but only used for breakfast. There is no restaurant in the evening - but many within 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

The rooms here are spacious and excellent, the location is fantastic, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby like Sister Bean that's just a 15-minute walk away.

Very nice hotel; very good value for money (it was a special offer).

The ideal base to explore a very underrated city. The staff were, without exception, very welcoming, informative and helpful. The conversion from a church to a hotel has been done very sensitively and manages to achieve that balance of showing respect to the buildings past and yet providing a stylish, modern and functional hotel. Do not be put off by the " cosy " description of the cheaper rooms. They are not small.

my recent stay in mechelen was perfect. staying at martin's made it even better. the hotel's unique church setting was stunning, and the rooms were spacious and clean. being walking distance from the city center was a bonus. will definitely return when my wife joins me!
breakfast was pricey

The breakfast buffet was well laid out, offered a wide range of options and was very enjoyable. The entrance foyer and breakfast room was light and airy.
The general atmosphere was a bit soulless and the decor on some of the floors where the bedrooms were situated was rather claustrophobic.

Original hotel that you must have experienced once.
We couldn't open the door of the room due to technical problems, and had to try 3 times and run up and down. Therefore we lost at least half an hour, at that time the crew was understaffed. The double room had 2 single beds next to each other which was a dissapointment for our romantic night. Few daylight is minor.

Good location (just 3 minutes walk from main city square and shopping area. Architecture and design is really unique, especially the breakfast room. Rooms are cosy and comfortable, even the smaller ones.
Too bad that there is no restaurant (breakfast room would make a great place for dininig given the special atmosphere of former main church nave). Would be nice to have a facility to make tea (3 € for the in-room coffee machine is quite expensive).

Beautiful location in an old church ; we stayed in a room at the fifth floor, which was absolutely unique. The hotel is quite recent and the design of the lobby, room, breakfast area etc. was very impressive. The quality of the beds was superb. Really a unique hotel.

I liked the the interior Deco and the way this old Church was remodeled into a Hotel. The rooms are comfortable and well thought. Overall very good experience.
The Air Conditioning a bit noisy.
